Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using the Tenant Portal ("the Service"), operated by Clerk Finance, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. The Service

The Tenant Portal is a free tool that helps tenants view rent status, submit maintenance requests, and access lease information. The Service is provided "as is."

3. Accounts

You need a Clerk account to use the Service. You're responsible for keeping your password secure. One person per account.

4. Your Data

You own your data. We don't sell it, share it with advertisers, or use it to train AI models. We store it to provide the Service. You can request deletion of your data at any time.

5. Acceptable Use

Don't use the Service to break the law, harass anyone, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data. Don't reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the Service.

6. Cost

The Tenant Portal is free for tenants. Your landlord pays for the platform through their Clerk Finance subscription.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided as-is without warranties. We're not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost data or missed communications with your landlord. Our total liability is limited to zero, as the Service is provided at no cost to you.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you via email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
